This is Penelope Cruz’s most intimate interview yet! The Twice Born actress says being at TIFF this year is like having a family affair. Husband Javier Bardem is premiering his new movie Sons of the Clouds and their 19-month-old son, Leo, is with them every step of the way: “I don’t go anywhere without my son.”
Penelope tells ET Canada: “Well it’s easier like this because we all go together. Of course it becomes your total priority – your family – and I’m very happy about making those changes. It’s natural for me.”
The 38-year-old actress is rumoured to be pregnant with her second child. Although her reps haven’t confirmed the news, Penelope admits becoming a mother has changed every aspect of her life, for the better “Until five years ago, I was a workaholic,” she admits. “I was one of those people who would wake up in the middle of the night and answer emails. It was crazy.”
So when baby Leo came along, Penelope says she welcomed the new shift in her life, telling ET Canada: “Maybe in a way I was preparing for a different rhythm that I needed… you know.”
